What is a wooden pallet and what is it used for?
A wooden pallet is a rigid platform that lets you group, store and move goods as a single unit load. The openings underneath receive the forks of a forklift or hydraulic pallet jack, making product handling faster and safer in warehouses, plants and distribution centers. It is the most basic—and most widely used—element of any supply chain.
At BestPack Solutions we manufacture wooden pallets with current production of more than 150,000 pallets per month and installed capacity of up to 350,000, from our production plant in San Luis Potosí and with a distribution warehouse in Saltillo. That lets us serve anything from a single order to weekly supply programs for large plants, while keeping quality and lead times consistent.
New, recycled or hybrid pallets: which one is right for you?
Not every operation needs the same thing. New pallets deliver maximum strength and the longest service life, ideal for heavy loads or export. Recycled pallets cut cost and environmental footprint, perfect for internal flows or one-way shipments. Hybrid pallets combine new and reconditioned parts for a very cost-effective middle ground. If you're not sure, we recommend reading our guide on how to choose a pallet.
Export pallets with heat treatment (HT)
If your company exports, you need pallets that comply with NOM-144-SEMARNAT and the international ISPM 15 standard. Both require a heat treatment (HT) that eliminates wood pests and satisfies the phytosanitary requirements of international transit. All of our export pallets are manufactured and marked with the IPPC stamp in accordance with these standards.
BestPack Total Warranty: we repair pallets at no cost for our customers, extending their service life and protecting your long-term investment.
