What companies and industries operate in Villa de Reyes?
Villa de Reyes is a municipality south of San Luis Potosí that has become one of Mexico's most important automotive hubs. Its centerpiece is the Parque Logistik industrial park, established in 2003 along the Federal Highway 57 corridor and covering close to 2,200 hectares. It is considered one of the largest parks of its kind in Latin America.
Two world-class automakers operate inside Logistik: the BMW Group plant —located in the Logistik II development, where the 3 Series, 2 Series Coupé and M2 are assembled, plus a new battery center— and the General Motors plant. Around them, a network of more than 70 companies has taken root in the park, roughly 80% in automotive manufacturing and the rest in logistics, employing more than 27,000 people in the area.
This concentration makes Villa de Reyes a critical node for the state's supply base, which altogether totals more than 350 automotive companies and 166 Tier 1, 2 and 3 plants. Every one of those plants needs a steady flow of pallets for production, warehousing and shipping, exactly what BestPack Solutions supplies from its San Luis Potosí plant.
