What is industrial packaging?
Industrial packaging is the set of packaging solutions designed to protect, contain, unitize and move products at scale within the supply chain. Unlike consumer packaging, industrial packaging is engineered to withstand heavy loads, forklift handling, truck stacking and, in many cases, international transport. It includes wooden crates, corrugated boxes, returnable packaging, pallets and supplies such as stretch film and strapping.
At BestPack Solutions we bring all of those lines together under one supplier, with in-house packaging engineering, a production plant in San Luis Potosí and a distribution warehouse in Saltillo. That lets you consolidate several manufacturers into a single partner, with one point of contact, one invoice and a solution engineered as a whole for your product.
Types of industrial packaging and when to use each
Every product calls for a different solution. Wooden crates protect large, heavy or export parts. Corrugated boxes are ideal for lightweight product, picking and display. Returnable packaging cuts cost and waste in recurring flows. Wooden pallets unitize loads for forklift handling, and packaging supplies secure and stabilize the final package.
Industrial packaging for export (NOM-144 and ISPM 15)
If your company exports, wood packaging must comply with NOM-144-SEMARNAT and the international ISPM 15 standard. Both require heat treatment (HT), which eliminates pests and allows international transit while meeting phytosanitary requirements at customs. All of our export crates and pallets are manufactured and marked with the IPPC stamp in accordance with these standards.
Packaging engineering included: we design and prototype packaging tailored to your product, optimizing protection, weight, volume and total cost before producing at scale.
